Psi Chi Overview

Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology, with a mission of recognizing and promoting excellence in the science and application of psychology. With members who make up the top 35% of their class, Psi Chi provides international recognition for academic excellence, connections to other Psi Chi members worldwide— as well as access to over $400,000 in scholarships, grants, and awards each year. As members for life, they also have access to a Psi Chi career center with job openings and trained career experts, research resources like a measures database, and Psi Chi conferences and conventions. Because of this, many have the opportunity to become a published author in Psi Chi’s peer-reviewed journals.

Although Psi Chi is an international organization, the UCSB Chapter holds its own active mission: to help each member navigate their post-graduate pathway. As one of the 1,150 groups within the United States alone, our chapter hosts events like GRE workshops, fundraisers for the Santa Barbara Alzheimer’s Walk, and graduate school panels for UCSB’s psychological community that provide education and insight on preparation for graduate school and post-graduate careers.
