SUP: Grad Student Talk
We invite graduate students, Amber Chen and Madhuri Kashyap, from the Yu Emotion Science Lab at UCSB to give a talk regarding their career paths and research. Amber is interested in the neurocomputational mechanisms of collective phenomena (e.g., moral evaluation, group polarization, cultural norms, etc.). She aims to examine the underlying neural mechanisms that create moral judgments and emotional bias, and how they shape societies. Madhuri is interested in the role of social emotions, like empathy and guilt, within moral decision-making and judgment. She is particularly interested in how this interaction may be influenced by different contextual factors such as scarcity. There will also be a q&a at the end of their talk where students can ask any question regarding their career paths or research.
